When Adrielle was born over 5 years ago, my missionary parents were living in Belarus and came up with a great idea for us to capture the growth and changes of their first grand baby, living so far away from them. They bought a cute stuffed pink puppy from Belarus and suggested that we take pictures each month of baby with her puppy. It was such fun each month taking "puppy pictures" and sending them to my parents. As first time parents, we didn't realize how quickly these little ones change! When Boden was born, about 2 years later, my parents were living in Kazakhstan and once again purchased a cute little black and brown puppy for our monthly "puppy pictures." Now my parents are in Russia, and Annika has a cute cream colored Russian puppy for her monthly pictures. Not only have these puppies provided a picture prop to show the growth of our babies, but they have become our children's favorite stuffed animals that sleep with them at night, travel with us on trips, and provide comfort when ouchies unfortunately happen.
