Colorado

Yep, we're back in beautiful Colorado! Here are a few pictures from a little afternoon outing last weekend.

We feel as if we are looking at the Colorado landscape through new eyes. It looks so much more rugged than we remember, but we really like it! 

We've been working at keeping busy since we've been back. We're still working on finding a job. We've been reintroducing ourselves to stores in the States, (and spent at least 20 minutes standing in the ice cream isle at Walmart a bit overwhelmed trying to make a decision). We've made a visit to our home church in Denver and received warm hugs from friends. While in Denver we also had a wonderful visit with Jess' younger brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy and Stephenie. We've been keeping up with the schedule of having a kid in school. And most pressing... we've been getting ready for baby girl!  Jess has been seeing the doctor once a week and it looks like there's a good chance she may come before her February due date.  We've set up an area for her in our bedroom, washed all her cute little clothes, bought diapers, and we're planning on packing our hospital bags in the next day or so... just to be ready. 

Here's something interesting we've noticed since we've been back in the States.  There seems to be a new craze in the health food stores for cold Mate drinks.  They advertise them as South American energy drinks.  Of course we had to try some!  Most of them are sweetened and have a touch of fruit flavors added.  On the back of the drink pictured, it says, "Yerba Mate, Good Energy Naturally.  24 Vitamins, 15 Amino Acids, Sustained Energy and Mental Clarity."  To say the least, this is all quite amusing to us.

Looks like our next update will be introducing our new baby girl! So stay tuned.....
