Proud Parents

Last week Adrielle was chosen to be the Star Student of the Week in her kindergarten class.  She, of course, was super excited to be given such an honor.  She was asked to fill out a poster with information and pictures all about her, as well as bring her favorite book to school to be shared with the class.  Here's a look at her poster.

"All about Addi Snyder. I am 5 years old, my favorite color is pink, my favorite animal is a kitten, my favorite food is Doritos, my favorite place is Santiago, Chile, when I grow up I want to be an artist, my favorite thing to do is open presents, and if I could have one wish I would wish to be a princess."
Yep, that's our girl!  We love her and are so proud of her!

A Boy and His Dog 

Actually, it's Pa Pa and Grandma's dog, but Boden thinks it's his.  And that's alright, because now that Addi is in school, Boden and "his dog" have become true companions.  It's not all daises and roses, however, because Boden also finds joy in what he perceives to be his great authority over poor Knut (pronounced "Ka-noot," another Scandinavian name).  The dog has survived several karate kick attempts and other boyhood fantasies. All in all, the two really are fond of each other.  Mommy and Daddy have enjoyed a little extra one on one time with Boden, without his older sister competing for the attention now that she's in school.  We are rediscovering what a funny kid we have!  This boy makes us smile and laugh so much these days; we're lovin' it!

And last, but not least, our newest addition Annika Dawn.  She will be 3 weeks old this Tuesday, my how quick the time goes!  At her 2 week check-up she measured 22 in. long, three inches longer from birth!, and now weighs 9 lbs. 4 oz.  Her older siblings had been praying every day before she was born asking God to make our baby "strong and healthy".  We are now able to share with our kids that God has answered their prayers, and we are so blessed to have a strong and healthy baby!
