Two Shameless Plugs

The first thing we're going to unashamedly plug is our third child! Yes, you heard it right folks. Our third child, a girl, arrived on Tuesday, February 8th at 7:46am. Although the thermometer read 1 degree as we drove to the hospital in the snow at 4am, her arrival did nothing but warm our hearts. Annika Dawn Snyder was 8 pounds 9 ounces and 19 inches long. She is doing very well, as is Mommy. Praise the Lord for His gifts and His grace! Big Sister Adrielle and Big Brother Boden are thrilled and have been very sweet and gentle with their new baby sister. Here are a few pictures from her first week of life.

After a hard morning's work, Daddy and Doc were very pleased.

"And in the red corner, weighing in at 8 pounds 9 ounces, flyweight champion...Annikaaaaaa Snyder!!"

Our second shameless plug is for my younger brother Dane. He is a graphic designer and deserves a big shout out for some of the work he's been doing lately. First is Red Label Designs, his business from which he offers custom graphic design and, specifically, apparel. Below that, you'll see a shirt available for a potentially limited time on a site called Shirt.Woot, which requires a little explanation. The basic concept at this site is to continually offer a fresh and fun concepts for t-shirts. To accomplish this, they have a weekly "derby" which is a competition for designers to submit their take on a given theme in the form of a t-shirt design. Voting takes place throughout the week and then the top three shirts receive a prize and are then available to buy for one week in the store, or what they term "the reckoning." The top 20 selling shirts remain another week, and so on. Recent themes for the weekly derby have been: "Oddball," "Things that start with the letter T," and "India."

Below his Red Label Designs shirts is Dane's Shirt.Woot second place winning shirt titled "How it Really Works." It was his entry for the derby themed "The Stars." If you want one, go for it! You'll be looking good like my kids in the picture below (they have adult sizes too). But keep in mind that, due to the nature of competitions at this interesting site, you'll have to do so before Sunday...unless of course we spread the word, the shirt sells more and it stays in the top 20 for another week!
