Canceled

It's raining, it's pouring...

Is some old man snoring?

Anti-climactic is how I would describe our holiday weekend thus far. Here's how things shake down versus how they were actually planned:

Tuesday - Independence day dances and presentation at the school in Juan Cachileo          . . .          Only Trent, Anders, Adrielle & Boden went due to sickness.

Thursday - Independence day dances and presentation at the school in Santa Julia          . . .           Canceled. Apparently the municipality rescheduled their parade at the last minute for the same day and the school couldn't compete.

Friday - Estela's birthday party/holiday get-together at Mario's & Estela's new home          . . .           Estela's sister passed away on Monday, the funeral was Thursday. Their 2 year old, Emily, has the flu, ear infections and pink eye. Mario has been sick. So, instead of a party, they were at the hospital with Emily and mourning the loss of a loved one (pray for them).

Saturday - Games, dancing, food and fun in Coyahue with Abner and company          . . .           Rain. The field we were going to use is flooded. Canceled.

So here we are, chillin'. Chile is celebrating 200 years and we're just chillin'. Praise the Lord we have much deeper things to base our joy on!

"You have made known to me the path of life. You will fill me with joy in your presence, eternal pleasures at your right hand."
Psalm 16:11

Since we don't have more holiday photos to share, enjoy these photos I recently took while skiing on Lonquimay Volcano.
